Pay-on-performance process

No Website Fee, Then Local SEO Paid On Performance

For local service businesses across Canada, pay-on-performance local SEO puts the ranking work ahead of the bill for it. We build your website, fix your Google presence and get the full local SEO system running, all before your first invoice. The SEO is billed only once real customers start calling.

  • Website Built, Nothing Upfront
  • 90-Day, 10-Lead Guarantee
  • Verified Leads Only
  • No SEO Setup Fees

The model

What Gets Billed, And What Never Does

The name means what it says: the website is built without a fee, and you pay us per real customer we send you. Not a click, not a visitor, but a phone call, a text message or a form submission from someone ready to hire you.

What gets billed

Never billed

  • A click
  • A visitor

Filtered out before any invoice

Billed

  • A phone call
  • A text message
  • A form submission

From someone who’s ready to hire you

A finished website on a laptop, a Google listing profile sheet, a banded stack of directory citation records and a call-tracking number card laid out on a sunlit desk

Your website comes first. So do your Google Business Profile, the citations, the backlinks and the local content, all of it ahead of your first per-lead invoice. The site is yours from the day it launches. We simply hold the invoice for the SEO work until it’s putting your number in front of customers who call it.

There’s no discounted trial here, and no retainer waiting at the end of one. This is the whole relationship. We carry the financial risk of building your local SEO presence for however long it takes to work, and you take on the cost only once it’s working, one verified lead at a time.

For a local service business, that flips the usual math.

Rather than paying for effort and hoping it becomes customers, you pay for customers and leave the effort to us.

An electrician at work inside a framed house on a residential electrical jobsite

The reason

The Jobsite Problem Behind This Model

The person behind this model spent years in the trades first, on electrical jobs alongside framers, plumbers, roofers and HVAC techs. The pattern never changed. Some days were booked solid. On others, a boss sent the crew home at noon because the phone hadn’t rung since eight that morning.

The work was never the problem. Being found was.

That’s why this model exists. A service business rarely fails because its work is bad; it fails because the people who need that work can’t find it. We built pay-on-performance local SEO so our success depends on yours, not on a monthly invoice you pay whether the phone rings or not.

Once our SEO revenue starts only after you land a customer, we stop being a vendor you hope comes through. We become the one partner in your marketing who loses money the moment your phone goes quiet, just as you do.

  1. Step 101 / of 08

    We Evaluate Your Market First

This model doesn’t suit every business, and we say so early. Before anything else, we run a rankability evaluation covering your monthly search volume, how competitive your industry and local market are, how many reviews your top three competitors have built up, your domain’s current standing and how stable your business is.

  2. Step 202 / of 08

A 30-Minute Call To Walk Through The Model

If your market passes, we book a short video call. There’s no pitch deck and no hard sell, only a clear explanation of how the model works, what we’ll build and what to expect month by month.

  3. Step 303 / of 08

A Second Call, Just For The Contract

If you want to go ahead, we schedule a separate call to walk through the agreement section by section, including exactly what happens if the system doesn’t perform. You’ll understand every term before you sign anything.

  4. Before week one04 / of 08

    Your Website Goes Live

Your custom website, built for your business and your market, is approved and live before week one begins.

$0 Paid Upfront Weeks count from launch

  5. Weeks 1–205 / of 08

    Foundation

We optimize your Google Business Profile, install call tracking, clean up your business citations and record where you rank today as a baseline.

  6. Weeks 3–606 / of 08

    Building The Full System

We secure citations and page-level backlinks to speed up indexing, then map your full site architecture around how customers in your market search, however many pages that takes. From there, we build every remaining page and back each one with its own links.

  7. Weeks 7–807 / of 08

    The Ranking Window

This is when Google catches up with the work. We compare heat maps and ranking data against your week-one baseline and adjust the strategy around what’s moving and what isn’t.

  8. Weeks 9–12 And Beyond08 / of 08

    Growth

We expand your local content and build authority backlinks, and this is usually when call volume starts to climb steadily. Once the system is running, the partnership carries on with ongoing maintenance, free technical support, regular Google Business Profile posts and blog content that keeps you visible as the algorithm shifts.

Most businesses we classify as Strong see their first calls within 6 to 10 weeks, and On-Target businesses usually within 8 to 12. Either way, you’ll know your category before you sign.

The screening

Who Passes The Rankability Evaluation

We’re selective about who we take on, and the evaluation is how we decide.

Every prospective client goes through the same evaluation before we build anything. It measures how many people in your area search for what you do each month, how many reviews your top competitors carry, your domain’s age and authority, and how much room there is to close that gap.

The results sort businesses into four categories.

Weeks to first calls, by category From the evaluation

axis 0 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16

  1. Strong we’re confident of first calls within 6 to 10 weeks 6–10

  2. On-Target 8 to 12 weeks 8–12

  3. Stretch possible, but slower and less certain, usually 10 to 14 weeks or more 10–14+

  4. Not a Fit we decline the project outright and explain why Declined

We only take on Strong and On-Target businesses, and not out of caution for its own sake. A pay-on-performance model only works when we’re confident we can win, because a project we can’t rank costs us money every month it underperforms.

Declining a poor fit protects your time as much as our business.

If you run a trades or construction business, a professional practice, a logistics or dispatch operation, a healthcare or wellness practice or another local service business whose phone needs to ring more, the evaluation gives you a firm answer before any work starts, not a guess.

The billing

What Each Lead Costs, And How We Check It

Leads aren’t all worth the same to your business, so we don’t bill them the same.

100% Phone call The highest-intent, ready-to-book contact bills at the full rate.

80% Text conversation A text conversation bills at 80 percent of that rate.

60% Form submission A form needs more follow-up before it becomes a customer, so it bills at 60 percent.

Your rate is set before any work starts, from your industry’s real numbers. Two tests apply to every client: 15 percent under the cost of the same call through Google’s Local Services Ads, and a ceiling of 15 percent of what your average job is worth. Whichever comes out lower is your rate. You’ll know it exactly before you sign, and it never changes without a new conversation.

Every month, each lead is checked by hand before it can reach an invoice. We listen to every recorded call, read every text conversation and review every form submission, filtering out spam, duplicates and anything that isn’t a genuine customer.

This month’s leads Reviewed by hand illustration
  1. Phone call Recording listened to Verified
  2. Text conversation Thread read Verified
  3. Form submission Spam Filtered out
  4. Phone call Duplicate caller Filtered out
  5. Form submission Real customer Verified

3 reach the invoice 2 never billed

Invoices go out on the 1st of each month for the month before. You have 5 business days from the invoice date to flag anything you think shouldn’t be billed. After that window, the invoice is final.

  1. Day 1
  2. Day 2
  3. Day 3
  4. Day 4
  5. Day 5
  6. Final
  • No lead volume minimums.
  • No setup fees.
  • No charge for a lead that turns out to be spam.

You pay for real customers, checked by hand, every month.

We look into every dispute and make the final call on what qualifies, and we take that responsibility seriously. A client who feels nickel-and-dimed on invoices won’t stay, and we wouldn’t blame them.

The guarantee

Your 90-Day Guarantee, In Writing

90 days

If we don’t deliver at least 10 verified, billable leads within your guarantee window, you’re free to leave. No termination fee, no clawback, no fine print that changes that sentence.

That window is never shorter than 90 days. For genuinely seasonal businesses, we extend it to cover a representative stretch of your real demand, so the clock doesn’t run out in your quietest quarter.

90
Days at minimum to prove it, or you leave with no further bill.
10+
Verified, billable leads inside that window.

Everything we built stays yours: the website, the optimized Google Business Profile, the citations, the backlinks, all of it. You keep the asset even if the partnership ends, and if we fall short in the window, the cost of the website and the SEO is ours to absorb.

This guarantee is the reason our rankability evaluation exists. By the time you sign, we’ve already worked out whether the window is realistic for your market, and we only go ahead when the answer is yes.

The guarantee window isn’t a promotional period. It’s the stretch in which a pay-on-performance partnership either proves itself or ends cleanly, with nothing more owed on either side.

Ninety Days, Ten Verified Leads, Or You Walk

You leave with everything we built.

The contract

The 14-Month Commitment And Its Exit Terms

Performance partnership Plain terms

  1. §1

The guarantee comes first, always, and nothing in the contract overrides it. If we haven’t delivered by the end of your guarantee window, you leave free. Full stop.

The short version The guarantee comes first, always

  2. §2

The agreement carries a 14-month commitment. That length reflects the real work involved: months of build time, ongoing SEO management, and the backlinks, content and citations we keep adding every month you stay. It isn’t an arbitrary number picked to lock you in; it’s sized to the ongoing work behind your results.

The commitment is sized to the work behind it

  3. §3

If you want to leave after the guarantee period, even with the system working, there’s an early-termination fee of $1,000 a month for up to five months. It never applies inside the guarantee window. The fee protects work already delivered rather than punishing you for leaving, and next to what a producing system brings in each month, it’s a small amount. We go through these exact numbers with you on a call before you sign, never for the first time in an email or a clause you find later.

Exit terms explained before you sign, not after

  4. §4

We’d rather lose a client to a bad fit early than trap one who wants out later. If any part of this raises a question before you sign, ask. Twenty extra minutes on a call beats signing something you don’t fully understand.

Your Other Options, And What Each Costs

A drag-and-drop website builder costs next to nothing, but it wasn’t made to rank or convert, and few owners have time to learn both skills. A cheap template agency gets you online faster, with a design hundreds of other businesses already use and none of the technical SEO work running underneath it.

A traditional local agency will do that technical work, but you pay the same retainer whether your rankings move or not. Ads alone can put you at the top of the page right away, yet the moment you stop paying, the visibility goes with it. Nothing gets built that outlasts the spend.

Doing nothing costs the most. Somewhere in your market right now, a customer is searching for exactly what you do and finding a competitor instead.

Of all these options, pay-on-performance local SEO is the only one where cost and result move together. With no website fee to cover first, you pay for customers who already called, never for potential.

What each one really costs
  1. Drag-and-drop builder nearly free, not built to rank
  2. Template agency fast, and so is everyone else’s
  3. Traditional retainer the same fee either way
  4. Ads alone visibility that stops when the spend does
  5. Doing nothing the most expensive of all

The proof

The Proof We Can Show You Today

We’re a newer name in local SEO, so we won’t point you to a wall of five-star reviews we don’t have yet. What we can point to is the evaluation math above: the category your market lands in sets the timeline we expect.

Those timelines don’t come from a marketing deck. They come from the same evaluation we run on every business before we agree to a project, built from your domain’s real standing and your market’s real numbers.

The clearest proof we can offer today is structural. We only take on businesses we’re confident about, and we put the outcome in writing. The first of those partnerships is already producing calls, and its results sit just below.

  • 6–10

    Strong Markets

    Weeks to first calls, typically.

  • 8–12

    On-Target Markets

Questions

Leads, Invoices And Exits, Explained

Still have a question?

Same-day reply

A phone call, text conversation or form submission from a real potential customer. Robocalls, wrong numbers, duplicates and spam don’t count. We review each recording, transcript or submission by hand before it ever appears on an invoice.

Flag it within 5 business days of the invoice date. We’ll review that specific call, text or form and give you a clear answer. Once the window closes, the invoice is final, so check each one when it arrives.

If you leave during the guarantee period, or in good standing after your commitment period ends, everything we built stays yours, from the website to the Google Business Profile. We only keep control of those assets if a partnership ends for cause, such as non-payment.

Yes. A flat-fee website is a sensible first step while your domain builds age and authority, and the move to pay-on-performance can come once you’re ready to rank. The site you already own becomes the foundation, so none of that spend goes to waste.

Then you’ll hear it before you sign. Our rankability evaluation exists to catch exactly this. If your market lands in the Stretch category, we’ll lay out the longer, less certain timeline. If ranking isn’t realistic at all, we’ll decline the project rather than take your business and hope.
